Overview

DESCRIPTION:

Schedule and prep meetings and maintain daily calendars for Execs

Manage phone, filing and general office support for Execs

Organize and book business travel for Execs

Submit and manage business expenses for dept.

Set up meetings with business reps and prospective employees

Coordinate internal meetings, both regularly scheduled and special-purpose

Organize department specific events, off sites

Maintain production records for historical and ongoing series

Help prepare Excel and PowerPoint presentations

Assist with research projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience

3-5 years’ experience, working in a fast-paced, high-volume professional office environment,

Must have strong writing and excellent communication skills

Must be able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines

Must be detailed-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks

Must be able to handle confidential information

Self-motivated, self-starter

Efficient MS Office skills (Microsoft Outlook email & calendaring, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred previous experience and/or Interest and knowledge in News division/setting

Passion for news, politics and pop culture

Exercise discretion when patching calls, rolling calls, and interrupting meetings

Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful

Flexible – able to adjust to changing priorities, and able to multi-task

Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees of our company, and companies we do business with, at all levels including Senior Management Globally

Demonstrate strong research skills
