Digital Media Company located in San Francisco, CA is seeking an Audio Video Content Specialist for a long term contract role.
This individual will follow projects through the post-production process, utilizing their decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and process analysis skills. The role will have support from both the team and his/her manager, but requires staying ‘ahead of the game’ and proactive, self-starting capacity. This individual must have exceptional organizational skill and a solid grasp of audio / video content technologies and best practices.
Serves a Content Specialist’s role in managing media intake, tagging, metadata creation, organization, and output for in-house projects and ensuring that projects created by vendors include all requested deliverables, and that those deliverables are delivered and archived.
Being a member of the A/V team, you will be following every step of the production process- making sure the data is in the right place for concept development, storyboarding, video editing, motion graphics, color correction, and content encoding for in house projects.
Work hand-in-hand with content producers, the rest of the AV team, and other departments to make sure media is available to productions and end-users through our Content Management System. This will include participation in pilot efforts and helping provide direction on features and functionality of initial system deployment.
Provide basic, limited technical assistance and desktop support on Adobe Creative Cloud and SAN system for editors, in collaboration with AV Systems engineering.
Work with Project Management to provide content and encoding services on deadline and within priority matrix.
2 years or more experience in content production, preferably as a Tech or Assistant Editor for TV or film.
Experience with industry-standard content creation systems, such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop), Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve color correction, Final Cut, Avid Media Composer, Smoke/Flame, or similar.
Experience with shared media storage and asset management systems, such as Facilis Terrablock, Avid Interplay, Quantum StorNext, CatDV, SoundMiner, or Shotgun.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage workflows for large scale audio/video productions, from camera, through editorial, VFX, and final finishing, generating deliverables, and archive.
Experience with mobile and Web encoding is a plus, as is any familiarity with D-Cinema packaging.
Strong Mac OS skills, and audio/video signal flow visualization are necessary.
Attention to detail, effective interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal), reading, research, and documentation skills are required.
Time management, administrative process management and task management skills are a must, as well as creative problem-solving skills to get the job done.
Ability to perform assigned tasks without frequent supervisory reminders. Managing expectations is a key to success, as is the ability to jump in where you see the opportunity to help out.
A passionate interest in technology, consumer electronics, music, and entertainment is preferred.
Pay rate is $34.00
