NBC News is searching for a Coordinating Producer to join the TODAY show.

As a Coordinating Producer for the TODAY show, you will be responsible for pitching, developing, overseeing and turning news of day pieces for next day air
Produce original news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, field producing and shooting, and overseeing editing
Coordinating Producer is expected to both pitch story ideas that show unique understanding of TODAY audience and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team
Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments
– This is a Sunday – Thursday schedule.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience in editorial and show production at the
network level, preferably with morning television
Body of work which shows topflight production, creativity and ability to handle editorially sensitive topics.
Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
Must have strong writing skills, research skills and editorial judgment
Must be willing to work in NYC
Must be willing to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices
