The School of Communication and Media is creating a pool of applicants in anticipation of future openings for part-time faculty to teach courses in our Media & Entertainment major. Classes include but are not limited to Communication Theory, Uses & Effects of Mass Media, Gender, Race, & Media, and Film & Video Structure & Process.
In addition, we are always looking for qualified instructors to teach our general communication courses such as Public Speaking, Human Communication, and Communication Research Methods.
According to BoR rules, part-time faculty may teach a maximum 2-2-1 course load across all USG institutions within an academic year.
Review of applications is ongoing. This position is renewable on a semester-by-semester basis.
Required Education – Experience – Skills (Minimum Qualifications):
Masterâ€™s Degree, or its foreign equivalent, or at least 18 credit hours in relevant coursework in Media Studies or Communication; or, an earned doctorate/foreign equivalent in Media Studies or Communication. In addition, professional experience is ideal.
