The assistant producer will work with subject-matter experts and editors to assist with engaging informative podcasts on the biggest issues in business and management. Top candidates for this position will have a professional background in audio journalism, television production, or multimedia production, along with solid podcasting experience and excellent organizational skills.
The ability to push, drive, and get the job done is a winning attribute for this position.Day-to-day activities will involve production-related task and logistics tasks (i.e., booking, scheduling, tracking down the necessary people for various roles, etc.). We’re looking for someone who can also bring creative ideas to the podcast.
Please note that there are no video or camera shooting responsibilities in this role. Additionally, this is a mostly remote role but will require some travel to office in the Silicon Valley area south of San Francisco.
Polish and tighten audio content
Book and brief guests, rooms, etc.
Track down and engage SME partners for podcast interviews
Collaborate with editors and other producers to ensure timely publication
Manage multiple projects in various stages of production, including creative ideas/suggestions
At least two to three years of experience as an audio producer, video producer, television producer, or media producer
Demonstrated experience working on narrative podcast
Track record of producing quality audio content efficiently under tight deadline constraint
Clear communicator with exceptional written and collaboration skills
