Splunk’s Media Studio is looking for a Senior Video Editor. The Media Studio produces the majority of Splunk’s video content, including live action and animations. We’re looking for a self-starter with at least 8 years of experience who can work independently and quickly, and deliver first-class results.
You’ll work on animated event openers, customer videos, explainer videos, TV/web spots and entertaining content for brand marketing. We have a very fast-paced environment and more often than not, you’ll have to scramble a bit to get what you need. We want you to interact with as many Splunkers as possible, not stay locked up in a room talking only to a post-production manager (we don’t have one). This role will be based in the San Francisco HQ location and will report into the Director | Media Studio.
Capable of handling multiple, multi-week long video editing projects simultaneously.
An extreme attention to detail — including end-client branding requirements and goals.
Collaborate with other Brand+Creative studios for consistency.
Ability to manage and mentor junior editors and assistants.
Occasionally get away from your desk and help produce internal videos.
You are a passionate, results oriented person who wants to make a difference. You will have years of solid production design in an agency/studio environment and/or corporate setting with a strong understanding of post production.
Possess a can-do attitude to push execution forward while appropriately navigating any road-blocks.
Self-motivated, flexible and process driven with the ability to adapt to rapid change in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to achieve a consensus on video work.
Excellent communicator across different mediums with an ability to motivate and lead co-workers..
Maintain a positive attitude while juggling multiple projects across multiple deadlines and be comfortable with problem solving while maintaining calm under pressure.
Be passionate about Splunk’s vision and mission and a desire for continued learning.
Proficient in MSOffice suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proficient in G Suite: Docs, Sheets, Slides.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.
Bachelor degree in video production, digital media, media production or similar discipline.
Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience or training.
