Social Media & Digital Content Manager at International Market Centers
The Social Media & Content Manager will be primarily responsible for developing, executing on, and measuring the impact of a social media strategy aligned with the broader strategic goals for the AmericasMart gift and home markets, as well as driving daily traffic to the gift and home showrooms in AmericasMart.
Develop content strategy for social media (paid and organic) and website tailored to audiences in each phase of the marketing funnel (awareness, consideration, comparison, conversion, retention) to generate inbound traffic and cultivate leads and conversions/registrations
Develop original content and harvest existing internal and external content to support website
Manage Portman + Peachtreee blog content for the gift and home sectors, developing and implementing a content strategy to support the broader organizational goals and objectives
Create and implement paid social media campaigns– optimizing budget, managing and reporting analytics to maximize results
Foster relationships with industry influencers to increase exposure for market and tenants
Identify key social media influencers for future programming opportunities or content partnerships; evaluate strong relationship opportunities and present to team
Increase traffic, postings, “followers” and “likes” to website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest boards as defined by the strategy
Work with the brand strategy team to develop clear goals and objectives for each facet of the social media and web content strategy
Manage social media channels on a day-to-day basis: Curate relevant content – copy and imagery – to reach the company’s ideal customers. Create, organize, maintain and manage all published content (images, video and written).
Monitor, observe and respond in a timely manner to users in a “social” way while cultivating leads and conversions.
Oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog).
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop social ad campaigns to align with other digital media campaigns.
Become an advocate for IMC in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business.
Monitor trends in social best practices, media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.Monitor competitive market websites and social media channels.
Continually review and refresh content on assigned web pages and manage content through CMS
Copywriting and review of digital editorial in select media products, projects and deliverables may be required
2-4 years’ experience in digital content development and social media marketing strategy and execution
Strong writing skills
Good understanding of social media planning/posting tools
Ability to learn website CMS (with IMC provided training) to make site updates
Light photo management skills (cropping images, text overlays, etc)
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; resourceful and creative in designing solutions and surmounting challenges
Action and results-oriented
A team player and able to work well across departments
Home furnishings and gift industry experience a plus
Energy, initiative and drive, vision, and credibility to partner with the team whose operational excellence is critical to the success of the company
