At the intersection of art, design and technology lies Striking Distance Studios. Led by Dead Space and Call of Duty franchise veteran Glen Schofield, a new AAA development studio has risen within the San Ramon Hills of the San Francisco Bay Area. We have planted roots in beautiful Bishop Ranch and are now building our flagship state-of-the-art development studio establishing the East Bay as the new up and coming creative and technological hub we know it to be.

Responsibilities:
Create storyboard sequences from rough storyboard panels through delivery of finished storyboard sequences that implement storytelling objectives
Ensure that the vision and style of the game is consistently adhered to in executing of action, staging, character acting and camera in storyboard work
Collaborate with creative department leadership and production to review goals and vision for the storyboards and discuss concerns, timelines and complexity, given the parameters of the schedule

Qualifications:
Strong in comedy, action, emotional storytelling, and character interaction
Strong drawing skills with a proven sense of storytelling, staging, composition, and character acting
Ensure storyboards align with the creative goals of the leadership team, deadlines and storytelling objectives and style and sensibility of game
Collaborate with the Director and creative department heads to discuss storytelling direction, design requirements, and expected level of polish for each episode
Nice to have: also can cut frames together in a pinch or add after effects
5+ Experience working with relevant painting/design/boarding tools
7+ years of experience with multiple feature films, television series, comics, or games as a Storyboard Artist
