DDM has an immediate opening for a Supervising Producer to help execute our mission to unify the Black world through meaningful and captivating content on its digital platform AtlantaBlackStar.com (ABS).
The Supervising Producer will play a key role at DDM to oversee the deliverables, output, and performance of the content creators to ensure they produce content that elevates our purpose and engages our audience. The ideal candidate must be passionate about multimedia, video strategy, and storytelling. This person will be at the ground floor of helping to build a new team and must have experience with supervising multi-media content creators and provide feedback on how to improve their content. They will be able to establish processes that will allow the team to create content in the most effective and efficient way possible. The Supervising Producer is expected to create and manage the content calendars and daily and long-term projects. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled at measuring content effectiveness with metrics that establish, validate, and continuously iterate on the content strategy. The Supervising Producer will coordinate with Director of Operations to ensure all content meets DDM’s standards and production quality.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and develop a team of 25-30 multi-media content creators providing production and post-production services
Review daily pitches that will be converted into video stories
Review and edit scripts with a keen eye for detail, including fact-checking, story structure and gaps, prior to production
Oversee the tracking and analysis of performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization
Work effectively with project teams to resolve production issues and make production recommendations to enhance the content experience and boost engagement
Ensure that the Director of Operations and other executives are kept abreast of all projects and opportunities via consistent communication
Develops production and post-production workflows
Ensure that daily, weekly and yearly production and publishing goals are met.

Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in writing and producing projects online, for television, or cable television
Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience required
Deep knowledge of industry benchmarks as well as production estimate
Ability to juggle multiple productions projects and manage a large workload
Ability to work independently and collectively with a team to achieve goals established in a team environment
A positive, motivating leader that can easily collaborate and problem solve
Disciplined approach to managing projects, while maintaining the flexibility to adapt when adjustments are required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,744.00 – $57,000.00 per year
Paid Time Off
Schedule: Monday to Friday
