Overview

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and well-organized Video Editor/Producer/Camera Operator to join our Production Services department. This job entails having experience or interest in learning the many facets of video production. Video’s will range in size, budget, and usages. From broadcast commercials to supporting digital use exclusively.

One must demonstrate an entrepreneurial style, exhibit smart thinking that reflects client objectives, attention to detail and timeliness, be proactive and have a get-it-done attitude, and be able to effectively interface with all agency departments while reporting to both the Video Lead and Director.

Role Summary

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Pre-Production:

Work with video production teams to plan for assigned projects
Help concept if such is one’s desire (This is not mandatory)
Translate video outlines into a comprehensive production schedule
Support and/or arrange all logistical details including scouting locations sites
Pack equipment and prep for shoots

Production:

Support the Creative Director (CD) and Director of Photography (DP) on set
Operating A cam and/or B cam while on set
Ensure camera equipment and gear is unpacked/packed and ready for next setup; at the request of the CD/DP provide gear, equipment, or prop
Keeping time and alert CD/DP when time crew needs to beginning wrapping up and prepare for next shot set-up
Assist with logistics/venue; communications with facility manager
Ensure all crew members (make-up artists, talent, etc.) show up on set; call them if they have not arrived
Ensure that CD/DP covers all elements of the shot list; alerts them if there was something missing
Responsible for getting all talent release forms signed
Provide any task as requested by the CD/DP

Post Production:

Log Footage
Build Projects in Premiere
Make selects with guidance
Bring certain projects to conclusion
Keep editing pipeline moving when team is on shoots
Be responsible for data integrity and backups
Basic Motion graphics experience in After Effects is a plus
Provide technical finishing services: color correction and grading, audio mixing and compressing

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Bachelor’s Degree in film making or video production
2 – 4 years working as a video editor in a professional film, tv or video environment
Ability to manage a project from concept to production while working under strict deadlines and ability to deliver on those deadlines
Highly skilled Mac-based video editor who can tell stories creatively and efficiently
Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere & plugins, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and Audition
Intimate knowledge of 4K/UHD camera specifications and familiarity with sound/lighting equipment
Familiarity with popular social media platforms
Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite Design software knowledge preferred
Must be detail oriented and self-starter
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure and multi task
High energy with the ability to take direction, work independently but also as team player
Excellent communication skills

OTHER

Travel about 25% of time
Must be able to carry 25-50 lbs camera gear and equipment
