SUMMARY

The position will provide professional assistance for the Division of Laboratory Systems (DLS). The specialist will provide video production and editing services for the DLS team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Finalize the building of eLearning courses using the most cost-effective tool for long-term program sustainability; Lectora for most courses but occasionally uses Adobe Captivate.
Ensure courses are SCORM-conformant, can be hosted on TRAIN.org or other LMSs, and use software that TWDB can access and maintain with existing resources and staff skills.
Make updates to training products in eLearning software as directed by project leads or Technical Monitor.
Provide ongoing video production and editing services for training and education resources, including video design (e.g. creation of short videos for course introductions or micro-learning).
Use guidance from project leads, graphics leads, reference materials, and user feedback to create video (pre-production, production, post-production), with the ability to take raw footage and a script/storyboard, and put the entire project together
Work with project team members to plan video productions including writing scripts
Anticipate problems in production through analyzing written storyboards and video scripts
Stage a location(s) for a video production
Professionally light a location (s)
Record videos using DSLR and video cameras with one to three cameras
Use proper frame rate, ISO, white balance, aperture, lens selection, and matching settings on multiple cameras during a production
Record professional audio
Use online storage to manage recorded footage for multiple team members to access
Edit HD and 4K video to a storyboard, script, or scratch track of voiceover narration
Create and animate 2D/3D assets within video
Utilize pre-designed 2D/3D assets from other team members for animation within video
Create motion graphics package for training video including: title sequence, lower thirds, and various-sized call out boxes for instructional content
Color correct footage
Compress and render footage into proper resolutions and bit rates
Provide Adobe Connect support for webinars
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory or management authority.
EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Multimedia or related discipline from an accredited college or university
3+ years’ experience
Lectora Experience required
Adobe Captivate required
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Acrobat).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of 508 guidelines.
Knowledge of 3D animation
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is conducted in a climate controlled office environment.
The environment may require prolonged sitting, prolonged standing, and light lifting up to 20 lbs.
