Purpose of the role

We wish to appoint a Videographer to provide an in-house solution to growing client and internal demand. Video is a key component of our creative services operation. This is a new position that will help establish and develop our video capabilities. The Videographer will work across the US offices, so some travel in the US region may be required. LEWIS has strong creative and video teams in the other regions and this role will work with the wider Creative Services team to complement and grow the LEWIS creative offering.

Purpose of the role

The Videographer will deliver excellent, creative, consistent video products for internal and external purposes. Filming will include interviews, case studies, events, and product videos. Animation will include kinetic typography, motion graphics, title animations, 2D animation. Creative skills, technical knowledge and strong organizational ability are important in this role.

Key responsibilities

Scope out and recommend the range of services offered, equipment required, resources needed, rate card; etc
Educate the account servicing teams on the services offered and the value/benefit these will provide to clients; advise on how and when to sell these services to clients
Come up with ideas for creative use of video and partner with account teams to pitch video work to clients
Manage video projects from conception to delivery, including production timetables and costings
Build a network of external production support capabilities and contractors that can be deployed on national video production opportunities
Interview and recruit key hires as required, helping to resource from your network
Provide guidance and recommend solutions on emerging video technologies, such as 360 video, virtual reality and augmented reality
Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal company announcement videos, external promotional social videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects
Script and film internal videos for corporate updates, house marketing and new business pitches
Script and film client videos in accordance with project briefs
Set up lighting and audio equipment for shoots
Pre and post production editing (various formats); add 2D post production effects as required
Manage the video workflow in a logical and structured manner, delivering to deadline
Bring a high level of quality control to ensure that everything that is produced under the LEWIS name is striking, creative and professional.

About you

You have experience of working at a management level in a video unit in a digital or PR agency, producing a variety of videos on a range of topics. You are ever curious, passionate and constantly strive to produce exceptional work. You are driven to continue learning about your chosen field to enhance and expand the work that you can produce. Inherently collaborative, you engage your colleagues to achieve success for employees, clients and the business. High energy and dedicated, you are able to work to tight deadlines to get the work done. Experience of working in a fast-paced and changeable environment is essential.

Additional requirements

Understanding of digital media techniques, videos, formats and compressions
Adobe Creative Cloud software including editing and animating in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects is crucial; 3D animation (Cinema 4D) is a bonus
Experience in filming various styles of video, producing animation and combining the two
Professional editing experience
Experience of recruiting and managing ambitious and creative people; and of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work with a client (internal and external) to develop a concept and a script/storyboard
Ability to source venues, talent and additional crew when appropriate
Prepared to travel to client locations, conferences and events to support video production opportunities
Excellent time management and organizational skills: proven track record of meeting deadlines and budgets
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to problem solve, project manage and multi-task
A passion for video that extends to researching and staying at the cutting edge of video techniques and trends; connected within the creative community

Basic salary dependent on experience
20 days’ vacation per year
